My Sei failed it's MOT on the trailing arm bushes so I uprated and replaced these with Strongflex items. I'm now having a total nightmare fitting the trailing arms back to the car. The strongflex bushes are a bit bigger than standard so don't just slip back into the correct place.

The issue I'm having is getting both the bushes to line up at the same time. I can get one in place but then there's no movement to line up the second. Does anyone have any hints or tips as to how they refitted theirs?

Thanks

You may have a bent arm. I found this after I replaced my bushes. I had to buy another arm in the end. All went together fine then

You might be on to something there! I fitted the new bushes using the guide on here, so pushed them in place with a trolley jack. One of the bushes wouldn't push into the cup, I wonder if it's ended up bending the arm instead.
