My Sei failed the MOT on a fuel tank and trailing arm bushes. I'm planning to use it for track days so went for Strongflex yellow bushes, the problem is I can't get them to fit! I've taken out the old bushes + sleeves, applied a healthy dose of grease but the strongflex are rock hard so there's no give when you try to put them in.

Did anyone else have problems fitting theirs and how did you do it?

Thanks

I used the red ones but used the scissor juck to give enough pressure to get them in

I tried using a bottle jack but didn't have a lot of luck. Did you find your bush would push in the first few mm etc by hand? Mine seems as if it's just 1mm too wide, so won't even sit in the trailing arm.

Take the metal insert out the middle of the bush and hoof em in with a rubber mallet.

Make sure you can eat you're dinner off the outer bush surface, eg the trailing arm hole.

Tried the Strongflex and found they squeak too much, so in the bin they went. Will be ok for track though. Powerflex are by far superior for normal use.
