OK, I know that this has probably been discussed before on here, but I am new to the forum so take it easy on me :D I got recommended to post in the seicento section...... so is the 1.2 75 engine a straight swap for a 1.1 MPI seicento ?.... also if anyone has done it, what is the effect on the insurance and do you even declare that to the insurance compnay, the difference between the engines is hardly visible if you are not familiar with the cars.

Hi petar, first of all welcome.
Seicento and cinquecento are the same section, all one big happy family.

I think if you use the serch function at the top you will find quite a bit on swapping over to the 75 engine. I think ecu and fuel pump are different.

Yes you defiantly need to swap numbers on you're v5, and tell you're insurance everything you have done. A full report with pictures is a good idea. Trust me they will try to wriggle out of paying on a claim if possible and you're saddled with a huge bill from the mib and 6 points on you're licence for driving with no insurance.
I use a company called Adrian flux, they were great. Costs me less to insure my modded cinq than it did to insure a bog standard alfa 146.

Whilst i think of it.... the 1.2 block is taller than the 1.1 block so the exhaust won't clear the sump. You need to use a piece of tubing to extend it, or there might be another sump that you could use.
BTW the difference on the engines is clearly visible if you're involved in an accident (-your fault or not).... it's called an engine number. You'd have to be stupid to take that risk & what sort of moron would admit breaking the law on a public forum?

I did 160mph on my fireblade a week ago, I urinated in a public place, threw rubbish out of my window, fenced some stolen goods and swore at a nun. ;)
