Hi peeps!

I'm 5ft 1 with short legs and diddy feet and have been out driving my sei this week i'm having major issues with the gas pedal being at a angle and not easy to use because the pedal is so damn small as well as my feet. I've been looking at aftermarket pedals to help such as these

but im unsure on if they will be of any use or help my situation?

Also to you other sei users does the break pedal need to be quite close to the floor to get the break to work? or could this be that my break pads/fluid need topping up? and also my hand break doesn't hold to well on small gradient hills? I'm used to my driving instructors car so this is all new to me!

Many thanks!
Rach

The accelerator is pretty small, and i have big feet, so have the opposite problem that i need to tilt my foot at an angle to operate it fully, but you get used to it within 10 minutes of driving tbh.

Anyway, pedals, you can get aftermarket ones but because the way the pedals are arranged, it's best to get a fairly thin set you can use on the accelerator that is still fairly thin and can be mounted in a way that it doesn't foul the floor/arch at full travel and that there is distance between clutch and brake too.

The brakes, i would get checked, does the pedal feel spongey? the operating point being so low indicates an issue, usually air if the pedal feels spongey, but can be master cylinder related also even if not.

Handbrake, fairly common, probably the levers have gone sticky, Centos are almost famous for it!, could just need cable adjustment if it's stretched, could need the levers freed off, both fairly quick and simple diy or absolute childs play for a garage with a lift (15 minutes, max for either job if it's just loosening stuff up or adjusting).

Tempted to book it in for a service anyway as its at 80k miles and wasn't treated fab by last owner.

As for the pedals, by the looks of it the rubber has come off the gas pedal which is why mine has gone really thin! It could be easier just to replace the rubber but i can't find the part number on the eper?

Does your sei judder a bit as you go along too?

Thanks

Rach

They don't have rubber on them, they are pretty much just a metal biscuit sized surface on a sick.

I have thin Sparco pedals drilled onto mine.

It also shouldn't "judder".

Ok definate service needed then. MOT was done in November so no issues or advisories there on it. Will get them to look at the handbrake and brake itself.

Trying to find pedals thin enough as it is so hard to drive with little feet, i either end up hugging the steering wheel or stretching my foot that it hurts after 5 mins of driving.

Thanks :)
