Is a Walbro 255 gonna be overkill for a 16v Cinq? Should I just stick with a Mk1 Sporting pump? Have been looking at a pump for a 1.6 Marea, think this might be a good idea. Going through the search there are so many different suggestions on what pumps to run, bit confused!

Would prefer to future-proof the car with forced induction in mind (one day!!).

i currently run a mk2b punto 1.4 16v pump on mine, i dont think i paid alot fo it, if anything lol, cheap and easy to get at a local breakers (and they fit snugly in your pocket ;) ) havent had any issues as yet (y) so just another option for you (y)

Of course we don't indorse this type of behaviour but we have all done it.

Rule of Scrap yard diving, if its small enough to fit in your pocket, its free!!!

used to (and it still does have even though now i don't have the car) a walbro ITP050 pump, more than upto the task of just about any engine conversion (unless you are mental and have a k20a turbo engine or something completely insane like that) - and is direct replacement into the oem sender unit.

details....
Flow Ltr/Hr (Max):- 180 Ltrs
Flow Ltr/Hr @ 3 Bar (44psi):- 126 Ltrs
Flow Ltr/Hr @ 5 Bar (73psi):- 75 Ltrs
Max Pressure (Bar) :- 7.1

Google search will find plenty of suppliers and they are not that expensive.
