Hi Guys,
I've got another seicento, 2000 Seicento S with the 1108 FIRE engine. The Battery light is on but I've been driving around for weeks with no signs of it dying. I checked the Voltage and its perfect. 12-13v with ignition out, and 14.4v when she's running. The light is slightly dim and always on(unless the keys are out) Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
Regards, Daniel

There are 3 wires to the alternator -- 2 thick ones, and a a much thinner one. Check that that one isn't frayed or the insulation chaffed and is clean at the alternator connection.

Thanks for the help. I checked and the wiring is ok. No fraying. But the connection is a bit rusty. Cleaned it and the light is still on. I'll get a new one and report back.
On an off note, should the back light for the dash buttons(hazzards, fogs, rear window warmer) always be on? even when the headlamps arent?
