Welcome to the cheaper 4 branch mani club.

I eventually fitted my cat and the rest of the exhaust, that tested my rather rusty gas welding skills.

It's a lot quieter with the cat there and a 4 branch on, than it was with the standard manifold and homemade decat. I've even cut the stupid stainless steel oval piece off the end of the pipe that was restricting it.

Just a low rumble out the back, no rasp at about 2k rpm. Lots of smoke and smells, that cleared after a bit. So happy days, can't wait to try it up the road.

im going to put mine on my seicento today if all goes well. (Y)

One of these has been on my Cinq shopping list for a while and today I pushed the "Buy it now" button.
My plan is to use a Volvo catalyst (collecting from a chum tomorrow) and a Ford Mk1-2 Escort rear box that I got at a local auto jumble last weekend and make my own 1 3/4"-1 7/8" bore system.

I bought a brand new punto cat, non type approved for £38 delivered. Once the inlet and outlet pipe were cut off the bore was a quite impressive 58mm.

So it now goes 38mm headers, to 45mm collector, to 58mm through the cat, then to 45mm through the pipe to the back box at 60mm and exits at 45mm again. A right jumble of welding and stretching pipes to fit.

Confirmation that I have taken it up the road and back, it pulls well. So much so it ripped my rear gearbox mount to bits, oops. I don't think I've ever changed the one on this car, I know I did on the last cinq. So massive power gains were not responsible. Although that's what I'm saying, when people ask. :rolleyes:

i now have one to fit,be going on p75 engine so should be nice for some top end power it really needs, gearbox mount is rather easy tbh,dont take long to do at all

@butflap212

Already done, I knew I changed one on the old silver/blue cinq, but I can't remember ever doing this one. Painted a load of waxoyl around the area before mounting it. Take that carmarthen county council and you're obsetion with road salt.
