Technical Gear Ratio's

one thought though, could the s/sx seicento 1108 (non sporting) put up with the power of a turbo block do you think? bit more power than they have to deal with as standard... not quite sure if that would make any difference at all as thinking about it i'd guess it could probably take the power no problems  thats the only worry i'd have about fitting a gearbox off a sei s/sx to my cinq... but on the plus side a s/sx box will allow 60mph in second from what i have heard, so 0-60 time will be alot lower due to eliminating the need for a second gearchange

Will a Sei 3.5 Final Drive (diff) Fit in a Cinq Gearbox? Otherwise the end speed of the 5th gear will also increase with 15km/h. The rest I don't calculate for the moment.

This is much easier to try. I don't like it to deattach the gearbox.....at all (n)

Does somebody have the serialnumbers of the gearboxes (housing like C.514.5.10 Cinq Sporting)

I am trying to find out wich type of gearbox is used on the suite but my EPER DVD isn't clear enough and the fiat parts dealer only has sei sporting boxes or the late sporting box (start engine on the front and internal Diff.)

How can I see on the gearbox wich type it is?

C510 an C514 are both the same gearboxes like the cinq (external) what's in it i don't know.

The Cinq Sporting has a C514 type box.

I dont know anything about the C510 sorry!

Suite gearbox and sporting are the same casing, using different gears and final drive.

Doing a simple math calculation to your post (the one with the overall ratios), suite gearing is longer over the sporting by:

1st 8.5%
2nd 8.5%
3rd 19.5%
4th 25%
5th 17.5%

Is this what you want ? Then fit a complete suite gearbox.

If you (like most of us who have a sporting) believe that the sporting gear ratio is fine, but due to the increased turbo power should be a little bit longer, as I said before, there is two options:

a) change the differential gears with the ones from the suite (8.5% longer), or
b) change your tyres (ie 185/55/14 is 9.5% longer than standard)

Oke (y)

I don't change my tyres. I like 195 45 tyres :D

So know searching for a other diff (easy way) or change the whole gearbox. My box is a little noisy. Prise shaft (mainshaft) Bearing is on his end I think.

This is the main reason why I'm already try to find out wich sollutions there are.

Well as far as I understand it, the C514 is used in the Punto, the Bravo/a range and most of Fiat's smaller cars!

Just a minute ago somebody called me thad he has a broken sei hobby gearbox. There was only a crack in the housing.

Is it possible to put that diff on my car?
And is this the only thing I need to change or??? Like drive shafts and stuff like that.

AN intersting thread especially the bit about the Abarth having a shorter final drive than the standard sporting. This was either to keep the performance the same with the 14" wheels or to actually make it a little quicker to 60 than a standard sporting. Might also explain why mine only does a ton and is revving it's nuts off doing so!
