this is probbably a stupid question but how do you tell if you need a new front wheel bearing?
the reason i ask is that i have a horrible grinding noise coming from the passenger side wheel. its hard to tell exactly where the noise is coming from but i cant think what else it could be.

you can tell if its the bearing as it is noisey and the faster you go the noiser it gets.

You could jack the car up and have a go at spinning the wheel, you should hear it grind

if hes deaf how the hell did you not notice it? are you oblivious to noises and flying rocks and trees in the road? lol ;-)

i just assumed it was road noise

on puntos the cover at back of disk can warp at the bottom, it then touches disk an makes noise

also the bearing sound tends to go or go quieter on bends.

it going in for 1st service soon , will get it looked at then i dont want to damage car if i touch it
