does any body know if i buy a mk1 punto 16 valve ecu and get it virginised if i can use my 2002 seicento code box, are all code boxes the same

To my knowledge, the code can be erased from the ECU, but you will need no more also the code box + chip keys

Pretty sure the code boxes on Mk1s are different to late Sei (which would correspond to Mk2 Punto).

Basically, the later cars have a more sophisticated code system.

May be possible for the immobiliser component of the Mk1 ECU to be flash removed?
