Is there any way to improve the airflow into a 899 Bob?
I've got my 40mm TB fitted but feel the Bob may still be restricting maximum airflow and I can't afford the dexcraft kit or similar

you could make a bean can bob like the turbo boys use

Well, it looks a bit like a bean can!

"All" you do is fabricate an open ended can (to match the width of the bob), and fit a bigger inlet to it. No need for the second injector.

I do doubt that it's a real issue at anything but extremes of performance, though. GSR used the stock bob.

Somewhere in rallycinq's posts are details of his "big bob" which, IIRC, was made from two stock bobs cunningly cut and stuck together.

or if you can find a bob from a palio 1.2 8v they are taller and have larger inlet - very rare car in this country and is the only one i am aware of with the larger bob...

you bolt it on the other way on a cinq obviously, maybe unto.pl could source one..?

could try taking the part number to local or ff trader dealer 46467404, might save on the postage if nothing else

yeah fiat should be able to sort one out, its not a discontinued part or anything so fiat dealer should be able to supply, my eper is one version old so prices are not bang on but i expect £50 is about right. Bit pricey for a bit of plastic but its a nice clean tidy solution - i don't actually know how big the inlet hole is but its certainly bigger than the 30mm of the 899 bob.

If someone has one, or buys one please post up measurements!!

Now getting on to some old colleagues of mine at the local fiat dealer

As predicted its about £50 plus vat and obv they'd have to order in from Italy

i wonder if a group buy was done whether they could be got cheaper...?

Sorry I didn't get back to you boys on here.
I spoke to my colleagues at desira and unfortunately they are unable to do any cheaper as a group buy.
And due to the price and not knowing the dimensions or knowing if it makes any difference I think I'll give it a miss

They did post some RR results which looked good. Search might find.

Does it have an avantage over palio bob and good intake or the abarth bob ?
