I'm driving a 2003 seicento mia (not a sporting) and its running on standard 13inch steelies. I want it considerably lower and will be replacing shocks anyway.

So with this setup would it be possible to use 60mm springs or would the car sit too low? as long as it can get over speed bumps i don't mind

unfortunately i work in a park and as you can imagine the roads are terrible and the speed bumps are massive.

60mm would = 40mm on a Sporting, so the theory is fine.

I'd recon it'll be OK (if a little uncomfortable).

Best bet, change shocks with springs -- the shocks will be well past their sell by date now, and won't appreciate the seals having to work on a new area of the struts.

So do you think if i was to do that it would still be a good daily driver, even if a bit hard?

and also what do you think of using bilstein B4 shocks with 60 mm springs they're on offer at demon tweaks:

The Bilsteins should be good, great price, too.

They'll be OK.

Lowered mine 50-60mm, I can still go full speed over our Belgian speed bumps. Don't know about UK bumps to.

I used cheap TA technix coilovers, they say 40mm rear but it definitely somewhere between 50-60. Still very comfy and decent ride. I would even liked if they were a tad harder.
