Hi all, does anyone know the correct pattern for removing and refitting the head bolts on my Sei please. Going to attempt the obligatory head gasket change. Thanks in advance

Why?

The Seicento Technical Manual (the factory manual) is in the Downloads section. Download all 3 parts, stick them in one folder, use an unrar tool from Sourceforge to open them up. Takes minutes, and gives you just about everything you'll ever need.

Otherwise the Cinq Haynes will get you most of the way -- it's more convenient for lugging about.

Remember, a HG has either gone or it hasn't. If it hasn't gone, leave it alone (and only a compression test will tell you for sure it has).

If it has gone, it has probably gone for a reason (cooling fan malfunction, fubar water pump, fubar thermostat, water leak): if you don't fix the reason, it'll go again (and again, and again).

Makes sense to skim, replace timing belt, get valves re-cut, re-shim the valves, replace tensioner, water pump, etc. while you're at it. All adds up.

You have guessed it in one knackered water pump. So new pump, belt and tensioner amongst other things. Got a new radiator and thermostat that I had from a previous project so I will do them all together, and an oil and filter change. Might even paint my rocker cover while I'm at it.

Anyway thank you I shall get downloading! James

Thank you for all your help, I have my wheels at the powder coaters never thought about the rocker cover!
