Has anyone got any ideas has to the price of the front section of my 2003 seicento sporting exhaust supplied and fitted.

On MPI cars like yours the MANifold has the CATalytic converter built into it.... hence manicat.

Thanks did not know that . Just the front section the part with the flexible part.

The flexi bit you can get (just the part) for £25 or so (eBay, etc). Is DIYable, if awkward.

If not DIY, pop it into a few exhaust places, get quotes.

Do you mean the manifold/cat (first bit) flexi pipe(2nd bit) ? I just bought new flexi was 16quid 12month warantee free delivery you cud buy this and take it to garage to be put on to avoid geting ripped off

Only problames i had was end pipe was tad to small for new one took abit perswading and grinded a daft lip off at the back were goes on hanger youl probs need some new clamps best off taking new part to auto store to get right sizes oh and gasket stuff

It comes with the clamps you need and a new rubber, just less hassle imo.

The cheapest exhaust is not always the best exhaust.
-also bought an exhaust section off of parts-direct (for a different vehicle), not very impressed by the quality.

In the end patched it up with gun gum it's done a good job.

But its only a temp repair, I managed to pick up a MINT condidtion sporting exhaust from the flexi back (most of the exhaust) from a scrappy for £17

How does that even equate though. you spent £1 more and got one piece rather than a whole exhaust. 12 month warranty is almost as good as useless, even if its made of rubbish mild steel it won't rot away in 12 months and the only other thing that could happen is you bash it on something and i bet they would say thats not covered if you took it back.
