Hi everyone,

My poor cinq got so hot that it apparently melted the heater unit, so now my hot/cold knob is stuck on hot air and its summer, not nice, on top of that I think it's leaking coolant.

So I was wondering if you guys know if ordering a new heater unit is enough or does the system consist of more parts?

you would need to look at the connections.you wont need a heater matrix(assume that the part your talking about)and may just need some plastic bits from the scrappy.

not something ive done on the cinq but someone will be on soon who has im sure

The heater unit needs to come out to check whats gone gaga. First remove the battery then all the carpet stuff round the back of the engine bay, then the air filter. Inside remove the dash cowl and release the heater unit from behind the heater controls. Under the bonnet again and release all the bolts holding the heater in. With a bit of wiggling it should come out into the engine bay.
