I've got a 1.1 seicento that cuts out when warm, I've followedthe advice and changed the cranksensor and now i am looking to change the fuel filter, I've found it, it's under the near side wing fastened on by two bolts.
The problem is that when I try to order one they don't supply the one on the car. The one on the car has a bracket built in to mount it by the two bolts and the one they insist on saying is the right one doesn't but appears to mount to some thing else with a clip mechanisme in the top.
I'll try to post a couple of pics to help but can anyone help me identify the right replacement please?

Original, note it's not easy to see but the holes to fasten to the brcket are at the rear at the top of the filter

nope, nothing, it just cuts out, once it does it it has to be left for a while or it just keeps happening. Oddly enough it seems to do it more when there is less fuel in.

As an addition, it's had oil and filter change, new plugs and leads too.

Crank sensor fitted two weeks ago, we thought it had helped as there was plenty fuel in then as the fuel dropped of it goes again.

We ahve ha it on a diag tool and it shows nowt but an intermitant misfire

Good question, I'll check the plugs following a stall. I'l have to create it at home, but I'm pretty sure there's fuel., but I'll check the plugs.

I thought of tht but to be honest i don't know how iwould find out never mind cure it.
We have run fuel/injector cleaner through the su=ystem but i get thet doesn't shift crap in the tamk.
I also couldn't work out how to crap in the tak and get it past the anti evp flap.

If someone has used sealant on the fuel pump gasket that isn't immune to the effects of petrol then you end up with 'snot' blocking the pumps pre-filter. Quick enough to check.... remove rear seat base, undo nuts on fuel pump ring, take off hoses & carefully remove pump without bending the float arm (try turning the pump round slightly untill it can come out easily). Lastly use a torch (not a candle!) & check inside tank for snot, rust flakes, or poo.

If it is better with a full tank and worse with a low tank, then it could be the pump getting weak.

Could also be general cr4p around the pump inlet, so yes I thing getting it out for a look should be the plan.

well worth checking the fuel sender isn't full of crud - these mpi ones are described as a non service item fuel filter but i have seen a few threads recently where the actual sender unit that holds the pump has picked up a load of crud in the bottom where the pump draws fuel from - i even have had it happen to me before, albeit not on an mpi.

Easily done, under the rear seat bench - remove the diamond shaped cover. Disconnect wiring connector (do disconnect battery first for this one!!!!), take fuel lines off, and there is a load of small nuts holding the unit down (10 of them iirc) - then draw the whole unit out.

Crap in tank? (I mean, as the problem, not a solution! ;))

Had this issue with my brand new Sei....Had agent stumped.. only cut out when tank was less than quarter full....long story short..was about a litre of water in the tank..had to take the pump out to empty it all out. Hasn't done it again since..
