Just wondering, i was checking the air filter in my sei sporting ms the other day and noticed the throttle body was covered in black grime. I am hoping to get an induction kit setup on the car and wondered if an oil vapour catch tank would make any differance to the engine? I think ot will stop the throttle body getting so grimey but will it have an adverse effect on the engine?

It'll help, but check the engine isn't fuming (pull oil filler cap off while engine is running and up to temperature) and that the rocker cover breather pipe isn't clogged up.

Ok great. Ill give thar a go over the weekend. Also its runs "lumpy" on tickover any idea on the cause?

Could be many things. Generally they respond well to new filters and an oil change, but if it's just lumpy (and fuming) I'd do a dry and wet compression test.
