Impossible to quantify without a chassis dynomometer (and, even then, one capable of imposing lateral loads). Or we could put slicks on and run it round 3 Sisters for an afternoon.........

I guess the good thing about that one is that it doesn't seem to reduce ground clearance and should make the ARB more effective by stiffening up the chassis a little (if you really want a more effective front ARB on a car that understeers!).

I think these things sell because people like an easy solution (bolt on some stiff bits that some geezer says will work, rather than pull the car to bits and weld in some some stiffeners).

I guess it all started with Abarth and the stiffening kit for the Integrale. But that, 'tis said, really worked.
 
This may have been discussed before but does anyone think this is worth the bother?

It sits behind the normal OMP lower brace, bolting onto the rear of the wishbones rather than the front. Would it offer any benefit though?? I see a lot of chassis bracing that appears to be for the sake of selling tuning parts to people.

It won't let me see that in work. But i know the one you are talking about, is someone selling it ?

Just wait.

In passing (cynical old head on) these will rely on crappy little captive nut inside relatively thin box sections to hold it all together. To make it work effectively, you need to drill right through the nut and box section, tube the box section, and put a sheet stiffener (2mm should be adequate) with a lip on it welded to another panel. Secure it all with a high tensile nut and bolt.

No-one wants to do the work, put in the effort (etc.). Kids today, huh?.....................
