Having replaced the MAP sensor in my car and it hasn't solved the hesitation problem, I took the sensor back out to look at the part numbers. I noticed that there is a difference between the number on the replacement and the one that was in there before. From memory is says something like:
03/02
long number...
100kpa

The difference between the two parts is the long number in the middle. Does anybody happen to know what the whole part number for the MAP sensor for a Cinq Sporting (N reg '96)?

The one i fitted to mine was different aswell!!!!
I wonder if were getting to the bottom of this problem?
My car is p reg we might be able to swap sensors coz the one in my car is from an earlier sporting

just had a look and can't find it. interesting that theres two types of map sensor though. would explain why one from a sei didnt work on mine

The only thing I can find on eper is 46531222(Sending Unit) for the sporting, and there's only one listed..

The 100kpa on the sensor is its pressure range in passcals..

According to ePER, the only current part number listed for all 899 and 1108 applications is 46531222. There is an older variant which this replaced, listed as 60811067 - both should be as good as each other.

Bizarrely, you need to look under 'Fuel & exhaust systems / pre-filter' in the parts cd / ePER.

Logical, really. I suppose.
