I have a '94 Cinquecento and there seems to be brake fluid dripping from the underside of the brake servo. The brakes are fine.There does not seem to be any leaks from any of the connections, calipers or rear cylinders. Can the servo leak internally? I have had to top-up the reservoir a couple of times.

Servo no. It's dry.

Master cylinder, yes. They're cheap.

Hi fingers99, Thanks for your advice. Just had a detailed look at servo and master cylinder. The master cylinder casting seems to be part of the servo casting. Seems odd, is this special on early cars? Is there a company that could refurbish servo and master cylinder? Ivan.

Never seen one that was integral.

Master cylinder is leaking into the servo. Pic off ePER shows how it fits together.

That's the only type I've ever seen. If it is that type, it's pointless rebuilding -- complete new master cylinders are less than £20 from eurocarcare etc.

It would be worthwhile giving Big Mick a call or trying ePer. They're not complex and -- given the bores are not fubar -- piston and seal kit should do it. Brakes UK, maybe?

The alternative would be to snag a later one from a scrappy.
