I got some lowering springs brand new off ebay (eibach) ones i dont know how low they are so if i measure them could anyone tell me ? Allso are they easy to fit would appriciate some tips thanks

Just put them on measuring wont help. There's guides to help fit I would put on with new shocks and top mounts saves having to do it all again in a few months time. Get decent spring compressors for front and make sure they are properly located. I would also start puttin pen oil (not wd40) everyday for at least a few days on all bolts that you'll remove

Totally agree...I had to replace all the shocks and mounts after 3 months....fitted shorter shocks as I didn't feel the original length shocks were working too well with the shorter springs. Lowering springs kill old and worn suspension parts.

If the new springs are not more than 40mm lowering, they should be OK. Otherwise, you need shorter shocks. Check that the springs are still located properly on full droop (all weight off the relevant wheel(s) as though you'd been launched off a large bump or a hump backed bridge).

Check that the car isn't running on the bumpstops.

The advice about top mounts is good.
