i need to change the fuel pump on my 0.9l siecento as the plastic nipples have had a temp fix by my mechanic but a replacement unit would be preferable long term!

will a larger engined fuel pump do the same job ie the sporting model?

am a bit confused by whether the fuel pumps are interchangeable like so many other bits on the siecento, or not...sporting ones are easier to locate and usually cheaper, hence my question...

AFAIK, you need the SPI type pump. So, early Sporting should be fine. But check with ePER -- if the part number is the same, so is the part.

The actual pump itself could be from any car (e.g. cento/punto/etc)

been on to ePER but there are two fuel pumps listed...can you help me understand it a littler better?

Not without going on ePer which will take me too long. Surely, there's one listed for your car, one for others? Copy and Paste the listings?

But I'm pretty sure Ming is right if you're prepared to strip down the pump to the actual pump and motor (the silver bit in the middle).

got a second hand pump...just need to fit it which i'll try later today...mechanic looking and moving the breather pipe means my car no longer stinks of fuel when i put petrol in now...slowly taming the beast into something a little more user friendly! i shudder to think of the state she was in when i bought her!
