It appears my matrix is leaking.
Im loosing coolant and there is wet in the battery tray and drops of water under the car.
My question is, can i swap the matrix from my 98 Cinq into my 99 Sei?.

I think not. Cinqs have flaps, Seis have cocks. Unlikely that the matrix is the same, and sans cock, you'd get very sweaty!

I read it that he's asking if he can pop the one out of the Cinq into the Sei, so, the Sei one is fubar.

Do you know if is much hassel in changing just the heatermatrix radiator ?

Do I have to completely drain the water system ?

its the highest point of the system so you should be ok to just drain a bit out to swap one... i never had to change one yet *touch wood* so no idea how much of a hassle it is, or even if the whole heater box has to come out or not tbh.

That was my next question.
What kind of job is it to change it?
Also if we think the Ebay one is fine i shall order it .

The Sei matrix is easy enough to remove if you bend the fuse holder behind the battery(once removed!) out the way...three screws in the matrix hold it in place.

That's a bit of a cock up. It did seem cheap as they are about £35+ complete.

I hav'nt taken the original out of the car yet.
What is the part on the left of the unit and can i refit to the new one.
I have contacted the seller regarding the difference of the advertised item and the received one.

the matrix the part on the right should last forever

the stop cock the bit on the left is the bit you normally need to renew, send it back

Ah bugger.

Got a good reply from the seller.
Said it was out of stock and this was a replacement part, very sorry and he will refund my money, offer 10% off the next purchase and give me free delivery.
Cant do much more than that i think, but it doesnt help with fixing my leaking matrix.
