Technical Heater matrix question.

Currently reading:
Technical Heater matrix question.

Had to do a quick repair as i was lossing too much coolent.
I bypassed the matrix all together by connecting with a small pipe fitted inside the 2 pipes and jubilee'd the 2 of them. :(

Another question fella's.
As the seller has not asked me to return the matrix, im thinking can i use it ?.
Although the ballcock is not fitted, what if i just fit a couple of pipe fittings in and reconnect the pipes?.
I guess this would just give me a constant warm heater?.
I cant see that doing this, would lead to any engine problems? only add to the cooling.

It will be ok till March 14...
The problem is no one sells the cock by itself.
But if it is not the cock that is leaking you should be able to fit the new matrix with old cock or fit the old matrix without a cock if it is the cock that is leaking.
Bodging the pipe work.

alfacool, I don't want to freak you out or anything, but your rear wiper motor needs doing too....

Does this mean the Cinq is still around then? I assumed you'd got rid of it.

Yeah the rear wiper is still to sort.
The Cinq is still alive and sat in MIL's garage, i need to get shot but havnt had the heart yet to send it to the scrap man.
Sei goes in for MOT tomorrow.

Turn left out of your drive, go straight on over the grass into the terraced houses, and across a couple of junctions.... I often walk past your place if I take the dog to the park and come back the long way. Seeing the Cinq always used to warm me cockles.

Ours has lost its rear wiper altogether for the time being. I tried following the guide on here but couldn't budge the shaft even with a massive hammer. Luckily it's not an MOT issue. I think we've had all the 'cento issues that there are. Fuel tank, rear bushes, gearbox mount and, just last week, crank sensor. I'm sure there are more but I've mentally blocked them out. Still a fun thing though, despite all the niggles. Just anticipating the inevitable head gasket failure now really.
 
spannarism

remove wiper assembly from tailgate and gearbox motor cover, then
apply plus gas for several days.

remove shaft circlip

screw nut back on again

hold outer part of motor in one hand hit nut with hammer

when you get shaft out remove all rust then grease and replace the sealing rubber o ring it is a standard metric

repeat next Sept...
 
A dim left number plate light and corrosion to under body and suspension parts. None of it too bad he told me.
