Due to being a lazy tart i cannot be a
Botherd running back to the car to unlock it... and am looking for remote locking but am stuck on weather any of the universal kits on ebay will work... and what i actually need. Has anyone done this or can show me a kit that will work gaurented ?

What's wrong going to the car to unlock it? You've got to be at the car to open it anyways

And have you checked what your insurance are going to charge you for fitted remote locking or if they're even happy you changing the security of the vehicle

Hmmm an addition wont really make that much of a different will it ? And if so a lottle extra cost isnt to much of a worry to me. But on breaks at college we all go to a random carpark and play football... (im useless) so i never have the ball last. So would like to be able to lock and unlock for who ever is returing my ball... sad reason i know but it will also help as i retrieve tools from the mobile garage in the boot with grubby hands!

Shouldn't be an issue -- after all, most of the thatcham stuff features remote central locking.

Just about anything should work, but if you want to please the insurance company, (and don't want to spend a couple of days at it) get it professionally fitted.

I fit loads of this stuff daily, has your car got central locking already, just not remite or do you need the motors too?

Find a meta locking Kit, Fiat fited them as standard (Y)

There is a thread on here (somewhere) that gives you all the wire colours and locations. I know this because I printed it out and used it a few months ago when fitting CL to Mrs. H's Sei.

With all the information your looking at an hour if you can use a soldering iron or about half that if you get ghetto and use Scotch locks...

I'll have a look for it tomorrow, I think it's saved on my work computer.

Had one of these when I bought my Sei new in 2000. Just a new relay, plugged in in place of the original. If you've got central locking already.

Don't think any remote will open the boot, as I seem to remember it was key from outside, or pull lever from inside.
