my 900cc seicento, X reg (not sure if mpi or spi) struggles to start once warm, once ive been driving after at least 15 mins if i stop and start again.

engine starts first flick of key when cold.

what could this be?
i have to try different amounts of throttle to start the car (usually somewhere around 1/4)

any help appreciated :)

you need to borrow a multi meter set it to ohms.

when the auto is warm locate the blue coolant temperature sensor, remove the cable connected to it, think it needs a squeeze, and connect the probes of the multi meter to each pin

the resistance should be in range 50-500 ohms (from memory) if it is larger you need to fit a replacement sensor and replace the coolant that escapes.

you have got blue or orange stuff in the header tank?

I have this same problem its the sensor resseting itself

confirmed it is merely a temperature sensitive resistor in a brass case
