Hi all, I own a w reg 1.1 seicento sporting. Where is the ecu/module for the air bag unit located on this car and does any one have a pic so I know what I'm looking for.

Is the air bag actuated from the main engine ecu then? Or is there a seperate actuator for the air bag?

I thought there was a light in the Speedo but memory plays strange tricks, the pretensioners only need a tap with a hammer.

These are not the answers you're looking for ;)
You are quite correct -later cars do have a separate airbag ECU.
Not sure if a W plate would have one, but it's easy enough to check that out, it will be mounted directly in line (& forward of) the centre consul behind a plastic shield.
You didn't say why you needed this info but it's easier to just remove the fuse if you're worried about it going off when working on the car.

There is also a possible further confusion, as all early Seis were fitted with the 'rugby ball' wheel, but not all contained an airbag.

Cheers

Well thats something i never knew, do you think this could be correlated to the early sei's that did not have PAS??
