unfortunately this is probably not very true. The underground tanks at a petrol station will remain at a pretty even temperature. It may change a bit from winter to summer, but I doubt very much overnight.

probably not true about the fuel temp. although i would expect it to change abit.

big thing is air temp tbh, freezing air is dense and hot is the opposite so in the summer say 20 degrese of outside temp is obviously less dense than 2-3degrese

OH, and tbh i really think people drive more enthusiasticly on summer sticky roads
