Hi all..

I think I once read about the difference in standart lowering of the different types of the Seicento, but I can't find it now.

Anyone who can enlighten me?

My Seicento Sporting Abarth is from -98, if it does any difference.
Can anyone "eyeball" how much she is lowered?
She is standing on 13" rims, 165/55 Tires.

Yes the sportings are 20mm lower than the poverty spec ones, but i doubt yours is an avarth, they should have 14" alloys, 10mm hubcentric spacers, abarth headrests, diffrent gear box and red stiching on the steering wheel:)

:yeahthat: It doesn't appear to be an Abarth, looks like just the side skirts fitted to a standard sporting, not sure if its just the picture but it looks like it doesn't have the 10mm spacers. Nice roof though!

Drawing from no knowledge/experience whatsoever about lowering, I would guess its 40mm drop all round from sporting height, so may well be 60mm, I'm not sure how they work it out....

Thank you very much.

I do have the leather steering-wheel and gear-knob, both with red stiching. And the blue-checkered seats with abarth headrests.
On the original sales-document it says "Seicento Sporting Abarth Soleil".
I think it is a rare combo, as mine is the only one I ever saw.

I have put another tailgate on her, as the one she came with was badly damaged and so were the window and spoiler. She had rolled backwards from parking into the backside of a truck.

She is a pretty harsh ride, but I actually like it that way :) Missing my old Uno T with the 70 mm lowering.
The Skoda Fabia is for my wife's everyday ride. I like her to be in the most secure of the cars.

I actually bought the Sei on 14", with only 1 spacer (approx 6mm) sitting in front left side. Only 2 pegs and nuts on both front wheels. So swapped to steelrims, and now I just bought the 13" sportings.

I don't think the rims she came with is Fiat-rims. I attacht a foto from when I swapped the tailgate:

I got a lot of documents when I collected her last year.

It appears she is sporting a Superspring backbox, a "noname" race-cat, and a Colombo&Barani camshaft.

The size of tire on the 14" were actually correct, when reading the manual. But I didn't like the look of them, and they had a lot off scuff-marks.
Gonna fix them up, and sell them. They're 4x98 so will fit a lot of Fiats.

If I find a bargain on a set of 14" Abarths, I will get them asap, as I think they look great. But the 13" also suits her really well. :)

I don't think that I feel a lot offf diffence handling- and acceleration-wise between the 13" and 14".
