General seicento front wiper/washer problem

good afternoon.
I have a 2000 seicento
My front wiper washer pump appears to have stopped working .I have read a few posts on this in the site and found a few that may be helpfull but my question to you guys is .
My rear pump works and i can here it working.
When full stalk to operate the front there is no noise at all . Which i presume that the motor has failed in some way.
Now reading on from some of the other posts here i quote (the little pellet thing inside that swells and gets stuck ) Would that make the motor silent or not operate (assuming theres only one motor directing water directional ) .

hi Dave
just as likely it is a bad electrical contact, alas it is remove wheel, remove arch liner, swap leads if two pumps
WD 40 if one pump

First you need to know whether you have one pump or two. Whip the arch liner off and have a look.

As suggested if you have two, swap the connections and try both switches, you'll soon find out if its a motor or wiring issue.

I have seen these where the copper core of the cable is so badly corroded inside the insulation an inch or so from the pump connector, that the power couldn't get through.

Sorry for flogging a dead horse, does anyone know weather a 94 cinq will have 2/1 motor, just offhand. Non sporting 899 engine, no mods, absolutly nothing.

If not, then I might be stripping my wheel off in lunch tomorrow.

I think all Cinqs have two motors. If the rear works (and the rear certainly isn't a legal requirement) try switching the connectors and hoses round at the pumps.

Alternatively, there's a black non return valve that often goes wrong in the pipe -- can be deleted.
