hello. just trying to do an engine mod for a 1.1 cinq. finally got an 866 cam and uno inlet. i was just wondering whether anyone knew the diameter of a punto 75 throttle body, what shim levels i should use for the p75 cam, what box would fit this block,im after a long geared one and also what induction kit would fit this? is there a chip i could also get for it? i have a straight thru exhaust but still waiting for (and saving) for a branch manifold. any info would be great. thanks!

Shims will need to be measured up and the maths doing to get the right shims
Boxes are purely down to what you want, longer gearing is found in the 1.2 8v puntos and shorter ones can be had from the mk1&mk2 punto sporting 6speed boxes, they all need a little modification but all are fairly straightforward

Induction your best bet by far is finding a second hand gsr induction with a bmc cda airfilter/box

swap new cam for old and use feelers gauges
 
punto 75 TB is 38mm,i used to have one before I replaced it with my 40mm tricker.
u can fit one to a spi engine if u swop the mpi top for the spi top,they fit together spot on.
tbh looking at the 2 side by side there hardly any difference.

thanks for the info. does changing the tb to 38 mess with any fuel to air settings does anyone know?
 
the cam swap and regap is ok with standard ECU do it first get the auto to run ok before...
 
Gear boxes as lee pointed out from a punto
cam change is a little bit tecnical as you have to change shims , if you dont know much about mechanincs i woundt even think about changing it

and for a chip get one from here

haha.ok,do you have the address,do they deliver or is it just chicken and bacon?
would you need to change the cam wheel over if you changed the cam?does anyone have the shim thickness figures for a punto 75?

if the cam wheel has the same number of teeth and matches the belt leave it intact
you are setting the clearances measure the gaps if they are to large add the excess to the value etched on to the follower
if several are tight you will need to swap a follower
you can swap followers without lifting cam
the clearances you need should be in the faq
