Hi, ive looked at past threads, but none of them definitively answer my questions.. first off, to change the sei gear knob, do i need an adapter? the one im looking at on demon tweaks, at a Sparco Settanta Gear Knob, which has a lift up reverse option.. will this fit straight on?
secondly, how do i get my oe sei gear knob off?
thirdly, id like to put the matching Sparco Settanta Handbrake Handle onto my sei, but; A. will it fit, and B. how does my oe sei handle come off? not the lever, just the handle..?

i have a 2000 seicento sporting, 1.1

any help and links would be appreciated..

thanks,

matt

Hi Matt.
The gearknob is moulded plastic and will not come off without cutting it off, so pretty much nothing will just fit straight on.

As far as the handbrake goes I don't think the plastic separates easily from the lever so again it wouldn't be a simple job.

Thanks guys, im a semi-skilled mechanic.. but i've never done a replacement gear knob at my place.. ill save up and give it a try :)

handbrake surround will cut off with a hacksaw and one or 2 blades, i bought a shumacher centre console for chrome surround and chrome handbrake lever, but couldnt be arsed taking whole leaver apart so just cut the grip off old one
