Lol well I've been offered the set for 100quid but at this early stage I have better places to be spending the money I.e cambelt, service, few minor dents to be removed, but the offer is there and it will be for a while so no real problem there

I need to get some gas and a regulator and sort out that seat mount aswell but its all a nice little list at the moment nothing major

Leather doesn't really appeal to me I like the grey/black cloth and they have recently been professionally cleaned and really do look lovely but still I've got other things to get sorted first,

Today I spent the best part of 6hours cleaning the outside :), I couldn't be arsed to drag the hose ect out so I ran up the road and used the one at garage dried her off and then came home for stage 2 :),I used ag (autoglym) paint restorer all round followed by a layer of ag super resin polish :) plans tomorrow are to break out the wax i bought to test on zippy with great results so I'm going to see how well imola comes up with a layer or two of the dodo juice blue velvet I've got some pics ill put up asap :)

Nice to see her shining mate and those are some good pics(y) makes me think why did i get rid should of kept her and done another 1.4 16v :D:D keep the GOOD work up :p

Well hopefully friday ill be able to do the cambelt and tensioner

Currently bidding on a set of abarth skirts too :) hopefully ill win them if not I'm sure some more will pop up at some point, also I'm gonna order some gulf orange paint to re do all the trim and maybe even get a litre of paint to do the bumpers and bonnet in the next few weeks :)

Lee

No at some point on the rear bumper they have painted it over in some sort of black paint and they did a carp job and tbh dont know why they would even of wanted it black:confused: it would of been on the list of jobs if i had kept her,i did try thinners on a bit of rag but that wouldnt shift it either:bang: and the rest could just do with a tidy up (y)

I would have had this car the first time it was going for free, but I had no where to keep it, and I was too busy with Uni work at the time

My Imola needs the bumpers and tesco rash sorting, plus a new passenger door where someone reversed into it - fortunately they avoided the rear quarter.

And some low :p

I still have some 6.5x14 Compomotives stashed away too...

Yea the trims are a bit scruffy and as andy said the rear was painted ok but either not lacquered properly or not lacquered at all, also has a couple of scuffs on it and imo there the only bits that let the car down, but not the end of the world, I'm gonna get them painted as soon as the missus let's me lol

As for the lows I plan on putting the apex 35mm springs from my sei on to her (hopefully a 55mm drop) and when they arrive I'm gonna put them on the apex shocks I've been waiting over a month for now

I was really lucky with that as i was going to buy another cinq just so i could crack on with the abarth and still get to work and it never let me down once, well tell a lie the clutch cable snapped but always have a spare one with me and the tools to change, just in case :D:D
and where she came from was under 15 miles away so local (y)

Ive driven cars home before to prepare for banger racing and the state some of those were in was unreal  even had them where ive only had a handbrake to stop and the gearbox :eek: so driving something that may have a problem doesnt bother me in the slightest and with it having no mot or tax isnt a problem either as i just use work insurance and its booked in for mot next morning :D but when i saw imola i knew there would be no problems she was way to clean :D

Well after doing a 106 gearbox today I decided to do something I actually wanted to do so off to see zippy I went :)

2 hours later we had the remote central locking in and the gazzaman chipped ecu hooked up :) going from a standard ecu to the chipped one was a very noticeable gain and being able to lock the car on the remote is even better :D

Also my mate stripped the suspension off zippy ready for the new shocks, I called venom motorsport today to find out what was going on and after threatening to to cancel the order they managed to find out the fronts had finally been made but the rears were still waiting for parts (ill just guess they were fobbing me off) I asked if they had any others in stock, so now hopefully ill have a brand new set of front apex shocks and a brand new set of fk rears (there the ones that they use with the coilover kits)by the end of the week not totally what I wanted but they'll do for now

Also I've plastic Welded the hole that was in the bmc cda filter top so soon that will go on the cinq, after the filter has had a good clean :)

So hopefully by the end of the week she should have most of the parts swapped over and her new shocks and springs and might even have the strut brace on order :)

Cheers

Riiiiight

I've got some shocks :) well, the rear fk shocks any way so hopefully tomorrow I should have the fronts ready to bolt on I spent most of the day wiring up the 6x9s into the rear shelf, I soldered all the wires up properly and its a very neat job imo, speakers aren't great but I just wanted a little more sound until I can find the crossovers and components for my good speakers,

I also took off the arb with the yellow strongflex bushes from zippy ready to go on imola tomorrow, and hopefully ill have the bottom wishbones zippy ready to polybush with the yellow strongflex bushes tomorrow (cheers ming they arrived this morning)

I've got a set of track rod ends too that were going to go on zippy but now I'm going to put them on imola as after I've taken the suspension off and put all new in it'll have to be tracked up any way so may aswell do them at the same time

Also I hope to get a cambelt kit tomorrow just to be on the safe side thatll be done at some point next week

I'm chuffed to bits with this car and can't wait to get it all sorted keep an eye out for more updates hopefully ill get some pics tomorrow of the work we've done

Cheers
