just had the idea of fitting a cam out of a 1.2 punto 8v into my 1.1 sei, wondering if this would increase performance or are the cam shafts the same? :)

same cam matey you want the 866 cam (from a punto 75) for the extra go go see thread 1.1 with 899 cam he ment to put 866 cam its about 8 threads down

Just wrote to the bloke with the 866 cam :) will it make much difference?
too many informations ......
is not worth to replace only cam
next
change setting of cam timing belt a bit and a point of ignition (on pulley) a bit
of course clarences should be set as for 1.2 75HP not like for 1.1 ,( even should be smaller then manual provide) it add few HP in some rpm (not in whole ) let's say over 4000 rpm, to get better results u have change program in ECU
but if u ride on LPG will be much better :)

The 866 does make a difference as the lift is close to a fast road cam.
The limiting factor will always be the ECU as with every engine that has mechanical enhancements.

Theres a big differance between a fast road cam and the 866. I've had both, there both good like, but the 'fast road' in my case a c&b280 was much better

Lift + duration. What's the lift on the C&B?
Cam lift
Inlet cam lift: 10.3 mm - Exhaust 10.3 mm

Duration
280° / 268°

Timing
Inlet 28° - 72° / Exhaust 66° - 22°

Valve lift Top Dead Centre (TDC)
1.9 / 1.8

Clearance
0.40 / 0.50
