can anyone please photograph how their top gear cable bracket is bolted on to the box by the engine to gearbox bolts does it connect to a bracket if so what does it look like i have the other end sorted underneath the other bracket but im stumped how its meant to go at the engine end and i cant find any pics anywhere

Dunno which car you have, but there's a triangular(ish) bracket that bolts to the top of the gearbox.

There should be pretty good illustrations in the Sei Technical Manual (available for free from the downloads section).

How did you manage to do that?

its a 1.1 with a 1.2 8v in it yep it is the triangle bracket so will have a look now for a diagram in that manual how i managed it dunno but taking no photos during stripping certainly didnt help its now decided it would spring a fuel leak again (filler pipe still) this car really doesnt want to go back on the road thanks for your help
