Mine is also held together with cable ties!
I'd be interested to see how long this lasts but I'm very tempted to order one as he has got very good feedback for them.

its not really tight over the join, so dont think it would cause extra stress:)
it would help to prevent the linkage joints falling apart if they were in good nick so i think its a good idea to get one anyway! No more cable ties round the scuttle grill

i've had these go a few times.. tbh, i have always just got a linkage from the scrappies for couple of quid which is same price.. I look at that as a temp fix while a replacement is sourced. Maybe worth keeping one in the glovebox or something just incase though. Should be 99p though not £4.40 - thats just silly

It actually works out at £5.38. But the alternative is much more expensive and the seller knows that. He also has something that many many people NEED and that no-one ealse has thought of doing or taken the trouble to do. It might have taken several weeks or months of getting the design right and several prototypes before it actually worked. Plus he has fees and has to pack them, take them, to the post office etc. He (or she?) probably only makes £2.50 or so from each one so he is hardly making a living off them. If they were being made in enormous quantities then 99p may be possible but not in the small numbers he is likely to be having made.

There was a post recently where someone was quoted, by Fiat, £70+ for a Schumacker STICKER!!! Now that IS silly, lol.

Think of it as £50 saved rather than £5 spent. (Assuming it works of course).

I still think its well overpriced.. I care not how he gets them/makes them.. If he can't sell enough to get them at a reasonable price to make some money then he should move on IMO.

I think what he knows is that alot of people are too lazy or scared of spanners to go down the scrappies and spend a few quid..

I do think its a good little idea, but like you say, too expensive for a one man band to make cheap enough.

is a clip he is selling it for £5+ ........... Second hand linkages around £15.

These things probably made in china, am sure he would have to satisfy a minimum order. So i doubt he only makes £2.50 /clip. I agree with Blu for £5 it is just silly, i would rather get second hand linkages. But i also agree this is an amazing idea as stated earlier.
