I'm looking to do some bits and bobs, one of the things I miss is remote centrol locking.
I'd like to buy a kit, I'm ok with a soldering iron... But I'm one for doing some research. Has any one fitted one before?
Does the sci use a negative pulse?

I have searched for a guide but can see nothing.

Thanks :)

See if u can find a meta alarm....can get it from fiat, unplug 1 relay plug this one in its place and hey presto remote central locking should come with 2 fobs as well (y):D

Agreed Hawk kits are very good tbh iv had mine for over a year now no problems...just 6 wires to connect :) there's a guide in punto section which wires to connect to but might be different on a cinq :)

I fitted some generic kit from eBay to my Cinq, just under £20 delivered.

Two for power, one for each indicator and three for the lock motor, iirc.

Power came from the heavy brown wire going to the ignition switch, and the (not quite as heavy, but heavier than most in that area) ground wire going to the head unit.

Cinq is a negative pulse, so I possibly could have twisted the 'middle' lock wire and the ground together and put them both to the ground behind the stereo, kinda making it 6 instead of 7... but the kit had separate wires for pos and neg switched, so they could have done that internally if it was guaranteed to work.

[edit] my kit also has an immobiliser, but I didn't fancy wiring that up in case it went odd and left me stranded, or worse cut the fuel pump on the motorway, plus outputs for the horn and a boot popper.

Hawk is 6 wires

CONSTANT B+ 12V Live
Earth
Unlock
Lock
Right indicator
Left indicator

Jobs done :) live goes to the thick RED from ignition barrell best to check it's a constant though...earth goes to any bit of metal you fit around there clean it for a good earth, others go to fusebox wires splice into the loom :)
