Filled the tank up and clean the nozzles, however I'm still not getting anything coming out. I can hear the whine from the motor but could that mean it's still caput? It worked a month ago.

Cinq has two pumps, one for front, one for rear, Sei has one pump.
Access is by removing the driver side front wheelarch liner, but we'll skip the forensics for now.
Most likely cause (we'll assume the pump mechanism is OK) is that the one way valve has gone down. These are hard little plastic valves plugged into the washer tube -- IIRC, the one for the front is near the bonnet stay. The system should work without, so, find and remove one way valve, bridge the gap with anything that's to hand. Test.
If it works, replace the one way valve at your leisure.
If not, come back.

My 2001 Sei has two pumps. When my front one went a while back I just swapped them over. Still need to get a new one for rear which I had actually forgotten all about so I'm glad you reminded me

Yes front valve is there and the valve for the rear is on the front panel near the bonnet catch.
Halfords stock them, so easy to get a new one.
