there is a set bit on the cable where you need to clip it on the stick, so the push-down engage works.



I don't think there is any adjustment at all.



If you want to rule out the cable, you could take the cable out the gearbox end too. Then reverse just slots in without pushing the stick down.

Yeah I tried removing that but I lost 5th? Do I just unscrew the cable from the gearbox end and leave on the bracket?

From memory reverse is independent to other gear. Just take it out the box once you took the small bolt out to test. And unclip it from the gearstick.

Check your gear selector cable is clipped in probably by those metal shoe horn / C clip.

I will try that and see what happens. If not I'm making some sort of spacer to get some tension back!

It's great to have reverse again though!
