hi does anybody happen to no what colour wire goes to what when fitting a punto 75 fuel pump into a cinq sporting?

the cinq has 2 wire blocks and the punto 75 pump has 1
althought both have 5 wires but the colours are diffrent :bang:
 
taake the actual pump apart. there is a little gold sort of bottle like thing about 3-4 inch long. thats the pump. just swap that into your cinq one. and all is well, this way you dont need to use all the p75 crap that wont fitr the cinq.

its got a black pipe coming out the top of the gold thing, and is inside the bottom of the p75 pump, you will need to diss-assemble it. there not easy to get out but ive done a few so definatly possible

dont suppose you have any pics? do you mean the very bottom bit of the pumps?

see the gold thing needs replacing (one lying on table)

on the punto ones and indeed the seicento ones its inside the actual pump, so follow the pipes and it will be there, not too hard to replace but be careful not to break anything

and are the fuel and electrical connections the very same on the p75 pump itself when you take it out compared to the cinq 1s?
 
the little canister things are identical in all fiat pumps iirc. just the big fat black pipe coming out then a big and small spade on top. it will fit dont worry just needs the pipe going on and the two spades :)
 
The polarity should be marked on the pump casing IIRC...
 
Fiat Coupe that i use is different, has a two pin connector. Small Fiat thought, are the same, with the difference that some are 1 bar and some 2.5bar.
 
Fiat coupe is 4bar, so if anyone needs an uprated pump, he can use this. It fits our canisterm but needs cable moding and bottom end extension (about 1cm more).

i just done this, cento wires to the pump are black and red, p75 pump are balck and green so i guess green = red?

tryed to start the engine and nothing :(
i then took the the main fuel line off the injector (has a red line around it? ) and when i turn the engine over noting comes out, the pipe is bone dry, any ideas?
 
iirc you cant put them on the wrong way as one is larger than the other, take a pic of what you have done so i can see what i can help with please :)


EDIT = pic i uploaded shows a black and green wire going to the pump..... mabee you have it on the wrong way?

either way the pump has a positive and negative, all it does is receive a signal and turn on or off, so any of them will fit in there as there simple contections... lets see how yours looks atm.


why are you changing it anyways??? was it working before?

i just put in a p75 engine and need it working
 
kk, what ecu are you using? is the code light going off ect as the immob could be stopping the pump working.

u know the original pump will power a p75though with no troubles.

p75 ecu with p75 key wont turn the light off :(
so at the moment im using the cinq ecu and key
any ideas?
