Find and remove the alarm fuse until you can get more info on the alarm.

Re: alarm problems

They don't come with alarms as standard so as cc1 says, find and remove the fuse to disable it and then find out what make/model it is and search for a user manual (google).

Re: alarm problems

Drop test the battery and make sure the earth connections are all intact, clean and tight.

The alarm could be seeing a voltage drop enough to set it off.

Re: alarm problems

You'll probably have to trace the wires back because of it being aftermarket it could be anywhere. I'd expect an in line fuse to be there or for it to share a fuse with something else

Re: alarm problems

It all depends on who installed the alarm and how sensible they were thinking.

If the alarm can be switched off by simply removing a fuse, then if they were thinking straight, the fuse will be well hidden.

I would be tempted to download the wiring diagram and remove all the alarm wiring and reinstate the original, unless you can quickly get a handle on how its been wired.

Cheers

Re: alarm problems

Start tracing the wiring with the car wiring diagram and remove it.
