Well then why am I doing machining work for him:confused: and asking me for more bits.

John, it's for the 8v.

Craig, I've done abit of cnc programming, we always used to test it on the computer before, but the lathe at work you just punch numbers in the box and off it goes,it's not linked up to a computer, but anyway, I'm not even aloud to use a lathe at work:rolleyes:

mings just chatting crap :p

i was under the impression brooky used the lathes alot, if it was in full time use then it might be slightly worth it

well cnc programs for milling or drilling a number of holes can be made like MACRO commands and you just put in diffrent coordinates.to drill difrent holes
turning machines are a bit more complicated, because you have to setup the chuck jaws,
the tools, the program,to the tiniest detail.or you WILL have a COLLISION(trust me,i know)and just setup without writing the program takes an 1\2-1 hour,a then comes testing.and first working piece will probably be a little off the measurments depending on the machine
