when i put a charged battery on it will start no problems, but as said above, leave over night and i get nothing.

please can anyone help my 99T plate sei sporting?

Hi

You need a multi meter set to amps/current whatever...
Remove one battery terminal and bridge the battery connector and battery post with the multimeter with the ignition keys in your pocket, and everying switched off.
The current should be 10 milliamps about, donno about the FIAT ECU 'dark' current.
If it is large like 100ma then that will flatten your battery over several days. 500 ma 48 hours, 1 amp 24 hours, roughly speaking.
If you dont have a multi meter a screwdriver with a built in bulb for voltage testing will do, in dusk conditions - the bulb should not light at all.
If the current is high you reconnect the battery and in turn break into each of the electrical items at the fuse boxes, anything could be drawing the current.
Or leave the battery disconnected and pul fuses and relays in turn to see which one reduces the current.
Duff relay or the wrong relay easy to locate shorted wire more difficult.
Good luck

Noel
