electro seem simpilar if you can get the right strength and throw selectors. then you could link it directly to a sequential lever in the car. sounds great, could even have a rally lcd read out just for braging :p.

i think it would cost £££ to prototype either though.

yep the leaver inside the car can be anything. could have paddle shift to :p

I thought about buying a couple of central locking motors. they can push and pull around 5kgs and are rather fast plus been water resistant. can get them on ebay for about £3 each

the 5 wire ones have switches built in to.

you would need 4 one each of the selectors. and 4th for reverse

only problem is the fact that them solenoids do a full throw in or out. and we need a central position

hey folks rebuilding a standard mk1 1301 gearbox but need a higher ratio 5th gear for road use,..anyone know how to do this ???????
I know it has been done
