Hey peeps,

After readind wht whitz has done, it seems easy to do by this picutre:



But my car doesn't seem to have those 2 bolts to hold the steering column to the chassis. Here are some pics of my car:







am i missing something here ?

bottom picture can you not take the two bolts out and re-drill the holes in the chassis further down. then bolt them back in further down?


thats the things that look like bolts right at the top.

If i put washers there it moves the column up .......

It acts like a privot then if i put washers there

Why am i missing the 2 mounting points whitz has!!!?

You need bracketry at the transverse bolt end to lower it.

your lowering the wrong part if you look under the bit of dash left you will see the 2 bolts that have to be made longer, the 2 nuts you tried lowering just have to be slackened off so you can have play at the front

the 2 bolts you need to space are at top of the picture, pretty much above the bolt that is going across under the column from side to side

Hey ash,

it seems my car is different from yours .. i can't find the 2 bolts like yours in the picture. (first pic in this thread)

there ones i used as i could fir washer in to space it, they are there but shorter

Yeah i done it exactly the same way at the mini peeps, but instead of a U bracket i just used 2 bits of metal drilled 2 holes and wala

Car feels amazing now!!!!
