HELP!!
MY 1997 CINQUECENTRO SPORTING IS OVER FUELING BADLY IF I LEAVE IT LONGER THEN 48 HOURS I WONT START AT ALL.I HAVE TO CLEAN THE PLUGS TO MAKE IT START. IVE NOW PUT 3 THROTTLE BODYS ON IT 4 ECUS 8 PLUGS GOD KNOWS HOW MUCH FUEL CLEANER IN THE TANK 2 LAMBERS 2 MAP SENSORS NOTHING SEAMES TO WORK IVE CHEAKED THE TIMMING AND ITS OK IM:bang:
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE MIGHT EVEN GET RID OF IT YET CAN ANYONE HELP:worship:

Checked the temp sender against the nominal?

well the first thing would be to stop throwing parts at it.

why have you thrown so many parts at it? 3 throttle bodys and 4 ecus, just...... why?

are you certain the timing is correct? crankhaft mark definitely lined up with the mark on the block rather than the pointy bit of the guard?

inlet temp sensor..... do you have a injector light on??? if not id say inlet temp sensor is buggered.

the bit i dont understand is leaving it 48 hours. wouldnt this suggest that fuel is leaking in somewhere ??

op, how do you know for sure it is overfuelling?

im imagining sooty plugs as he needs to clean them to start the car...

maybe they arent sooty though, could be something else on them. the op doesnt state anything other than "cleans plugs"

leaving it over a period of 48 hours wouldnt cause the situation to worsen of its own accord if it was soot on the plugs

aye. sounds like the injectors staying open fromt hat. but we need the op back to explain. more.

injector for a cinq it would be SPI. but a new throttle body should of solved it ??? this confuses me

not if there was a continuous power to it it would just stay open no matter what you connected to it. but like i say op needs to explain more or its all hypothetical lol

IS that you assuming the pump also has continous power?

i dont think he menas that, think hes on about the solenoid in the injector keeping it open

temp sensor is fine lambor is fine plugs are black and wet with fuel

hmmmm, i wonder if the problem is at the other end of the car :chin:

bit of a long shot this, but i wonder if theres excess pressure building up in the fuel system that is releasing itself by forcing fuel through even when it's not meant to

in theory it should never happen, but......

it dropping the volts when it gets hotter

the tank has never been full even when i had the filetr off it didnt make any differacne
