ok i'm now looking for turbo engine management options and came across a little gem that i am interested in but not sure if its upto the job so did a little research on it and found the specs on it and it says that its not suitable for multi coil ignition systems.

i dont need it to do the ignition system i only need it to do fuel right or am i getting a little confused here????

I think it means cop or fully sequential ignition that it wont do.

The specs are fine (looks like a rip off of megasquirt to me!)

but unless you want to fit a dizzy or a ford edis module then you need http://www.dicktator.co.za/multitoothecu.html... that one will work with the fiats timing wheel and (maybe) sensor.

Unless its very cheap i would go megasquirt

I wouldnt keep the standard ecu. ditch the lot.

echo what's been said, looks like an MS rip off. If you're going to the hassle of getting it to do fueling, may as well ditch the stock ECU and do the job properly.

well to be totally honest its on the well known auction site and its only at 49.99 at the mo and i was thinking of getting itif the price is right and going dizzy set up off uno 999 but not too sure how well it would work

i asking because i dont know, but which is better for turboing

dizzy or electronic ignition???????

dizzy is what i know better (from tuning my mk2 golf)

but electronic (from what i read) is more tuneable but i have only basic maintence knowledge of it

it connected to the trigger wheel so why use a point system when you can have electronic??!?!

sorry gazz cant quiet understand what you mean

the way i am thinking is go to dizzy and i have one less electronic thing to fail!!!! but electronic is more tuneable right????? but if its dizzy the engine management would then be easier to set up right????

it can use the matnetic pickup of the crank sensor to fire the coil packs rather then using a dizzy and points system to fire it

dizzys are crap. you cannot adjust the ignition advance to what you want it to be.

how do you plan to drive a dizzy? Uno 999c head and cam? so that's power gone due to crap cam and small ports.

considering this

unfortuninatly the company has stopped trading and this is the only one i have found so far

how is it meant to be mapped? might prove tricky if it's not an MS rip off.

one of the biggest hurdles when fitting an ECU is getting the trigger wheel correct and lined up. You already have one.

An MS/DTA/Omex/That one Aaron uses/etc will all use the existing sensors etc on the engine, but give you much more tuning options.

have one less electronic thing to fail!!!!
nope. dizzy is VERY old. replaced with electronic because electronic is MUCH less likely to fail. no components to wear. much more accurate and controllable. and just like everyone who runs the cento ecu on a turo setup. you wont be able to pull timing on boost to keep away from det without needed to pour fuel in (and loose power)

you can fit a dizzy on any 8valve fire engine. fiat blocked the hole up with the coil packs. if you remove the coils you can see the cam and the slot in the end where the dizzy locates

yeah my cam has the slot for the dizzy drive but to behonest i hear what you guys are saying and i am starting to swing more towards MS or another tried and tested methord

if i win the lottery i might go HKS lmao just to be different but i think i will just purchase an MS from somewhere or maybe an Apexi unit i saw somewhere lol
