I need to install a new radiator, mine decided to ...... out water and coolant all over the road, lucky i got breakdown cover :p it was greatly welcomed,

Ive tried RagWeld, but i believe the whole is slightly too big, as it keeps sealing the whole, then bursting again, so im going to replace it with a new one.

However, im wandering if there is any type of upgrade rad that i could buy??

Anything that would cool more ?

Space is tight with the Cinquecento, so a larger rad might be a difficult task,

Any Help will be much appreciated, I also need help with how to change it as I may be able to do it, however, I like to know what im doing :):)

Many Thanks,

Steve

a standard new radiator would be perfectly fine

IIRC

first you could have to drain the cooling system of water/anti-freeze:rolleyes:

there will be two pipes onto the radiator (looking at it) top left and bottom right also some connectors to the fan switch and fan (fan bolted to radiator)

unbolt the radiator and remove it with the fan still attached

remove the fan and fan switch from the radiator and bolt those onto the new one

reconnect the hoses and electrical connectors

top up the cooling system (i use a 50/50 mix of water and anti-freeze) also top it up to the max line

squeeze the large cooling pipes to get out some air in the system and top back upto max

turn the car over a few times and top up the cooling system again

there will be two bleed points on the cooling system, one behined the driver side head lamp and on some on the bulkhead/sound cover where the puipes go to the heater matrix only bleed when cold

check the cooling fluid level again and you should be good to go
