Technical Cinq T-Jet Build

Technical Cinq T-Jet Build

Well 1000 miles after I had the hybrid turbo it had a few issues which made it need a rebuild and new turbine shaft, while its off the road I'm making a new manifold up and exhaust up for even better flow

Also having a custom flywheel and clutch made up as the current stage 3 slips on moderate power in 3rd gear onwards .

After all the above ill be putting in larger injectors and having it mapped upto 250hp

Then I can finish off the 4x4 conversation that I won't be putting much information up about

very important bracket to support the turbocharger

the big problem with this power are the gear box, is frail, the C510 are much better but no possible for awd

With few mods and a load of fettling got it on for a test fit, spare rear beam was dropped off today too do I can make a start on the rear setup while waiting for the manifold tubing to be welded

As said panda 4x4 box il see if there is anyway of strengthening it in the future or when it blows up when I'm being a donut doing a donut

I won't make it to fast show in th cinq which sucks but I well

Back end wise just need to make custom shafts and modify cv joints and a few other odds and sods and ill be going on for the final time hopefully lol

A little bit if progress done got the rear beam and diff all painted and mounted in place for good and the diff hung in place.

Mounted the new fuel pump and filter assembly in the spare wheel well just waiting for fuel lines and alloy fuel cell to turn up

Had the props haft spun up on the balancer and turns out it's bent like a banana, which is annoying so I need to have it retubed.

While I'm waiting for all that I'll whip the engine and box out and run new custom alloy fuel hard lines and brake pipes

Billet flywheel still hasn't arrived either so it will stay out until that arrives and gearbox us recond as it can't be fitted by itself

well heres a little bit of an update, fuel pump is all wired in and tank in too

decided to make a "small list of things to do aswell....yeah

as im remaking all the fuel lines i had to whip the engine out so i can get them in perfectly at this point i decided to remake all the brake pipes solid and flexis too as im just in there

quick update

decided to redo all the solid and flexis again, yes they are all polished

made new front to rear solid brake pipes from aluminium hardline to take an6 fittings, what an absolute arse ache to do them

got some bigger injectors (625cc) and made them fit the abarth inlet with some cutting and a bracket

thinned out the unused wiring from the ms2 loom

list is getting shorter

Those brake lines look great, spent the whole afternoon trying to make new ones for my Cinq and ended up throwing the whole lot, swearing and giving up and having a sulk.

How come you use aluminium though and not cupro-nickel?

Brake pipes are cupro-nickel but the fuel lines are aluminium as i wont have any corrosion issues with the aluminium bulkhead fittings (even tho they are plated)

I probably could of just got copper or cupro-nickel to save a few quid but as they took so long to make and had to take so much off better safe then sorry.

hopefully my gearbox rebuild kit billet flywheel and clutch arrive back this week so i can get the engine and box back in over the weekend :D

This build is just all kinds of awesome. I'd love to see what it's like when it's done. I bet it's an animal. Great work, I'm totally inspired.

as some of you may know the centos been out and about for a while now with no real issues.

I drove 100 miles down santapod for usc and did a (imho disappointing) 13.9 @102 and then drove home 100 miles.

the fiat as a project has run its course now as im unable to obtain better gearing and even stronger clutch
