Taken day off to finish job BUT ! taken old head off and noticed the lining up (dowells or locaters i think they are called) on cylinder head bolts 7+9 front left and front right stud holes as looking from front , well the left is definitely not there . These are absolutely needed right ?? All the way to the scrappy for this thing the size of a thick washer 2 hrs there n back

I believe they are only locating dowels. Am sure somebody will correct me, but personally i would just ensure you have 1 in each corner. You can get them easily enough though. Dan
